Q: It has been told that Shuichi that performs in this work, is the role that you won to the audition. NH: Exactly. At the beginning, I had the tape audition and later the studio audition. In advance, I have received 6 volumes of the original work as materials (to study), then I have decided the lines to say in audition, (even if) initially I was planning to say only words qualified for that character. But because it’s a work with an unusual/unexpected development, I was like “what would it happen later?” and with curiousity I preferred to read whole volume. (laugh) Q: It’s a work with several enigmas. NH: Actions also are worth seeing, there is a lot sex appeal component typical of Seinen Magazine, I think it’s really a great work. And exactly because of this, I was happy when the stage appaerance has been decided. Q: When it has been read the original work, what were your feelings about Shuichi as character!? Shuichi, basically it’s quite timid but his heart is from a kind boy is it? Meeting with Claire, has started to think step by step what wanted to do and what not. At the beginning, I thought he was gentle but because everytime the chapters increased, and at the same time also scenes that has been decided by Shuichi’s himself, increased, I thought he could become steadly really cool. Q: Acting a such character like Shuichi, tell me what hit your consciouness!? NH: When it has been announced the PV at the beginning, I wondered if it was better to not distort during the performing. Become of this, I was conscious of my respiration…my breath between the lines. Q: Explain better what kind of “Distortion”. I mean that it’s okay to not write the lines properly. Usually during our daily conversions, I think we can’t speak that tightly.Particularly Shuichi, it’s not a type that spreads his voice, he has a passive voice that responds to own surroundings . When your exhale words from yourself, it means you are determined to say it and finally you say that. I gave importance to that confused feeling, I was more conscious of living. During recording (dubbing), there has been a time to talk with VTR, without realizing I have done that with a sense of tempo that also Shuiichi would say that too.
